Opinel Oak Black Folding Knife.

The classic No. 08 folding knife with a black finish on the blade and bolster thanks to a PVD coating on its martensitic steel blade.

This treatment enhances its corrosion resistance and makes it suitable for contact with food, although it is more susceptible to scratches, so it is recommended not to use scouring pads or abrasive products to clean it.
The oak handle, sourced from French forests, is protected with varnish. This wood is hard, especially resistant to insects and fungi due to its high tannin content.

The black stainless steel blade has a matte finish and is more corrosion-resistant than a standard stainless steel blade.
It has a hardness of 55-57 HRC and is of European origin.
The stainless steel used is an optimized grade to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance. The blade has an excellent edge and great abrasion resistance. It locks with Opinel's legendary Virolock system, also with a black coating.
